Coating
As far as the coating process is concerned, what are the applications of vacuum technology?
In many coating processes (for example, metal, plastic or glass is deposited in the form of steam), vacuum technology plays a decisive role. In many cases, these processes cannot be realized without vacuum. Generally, at the beginning of the process, a moderate or high vacuum is applied to the chamber to allow vacuum exhaust, and then the reaction gas is removed or the solid raw material is gasified.
These coating processes all have a common requirement: the chamber must maintain a moderate or high vacuum that fully meets the requirements of the coating process. These coating processes help to change the surface characteristics of the material, such as hardness or corrosion resistance. In addition, vacuum coating can also improve the adhesion or wettability of the material, or keep the surface of the material permanently hydrophobic or hydrophilic.
Our vacuum system can be tailored to the vacuum-based coating process.
Which vacuum solutions of Busch are especially suitable for coating process?
We provide a large number of different vacuum solutions for coating process. In addition to independent vacuum pumps, we also supply a complete set of vacuum systems. COBRA screw vacuum pump is especially suitable for coating process. Practice has proved that COBRA screw vacuum pump combined with Roots vacuum pump is a standard solution for medium vacuum coating application. We provide various types of variable pitch COBRA screw vacuum pumps and Roots vacuum pumps, so that the design of the vacuum system completely meets the requirements of the coating process. If a high vacuum is required, we have Turbo Turbo molecular vacuum pump and Rangu diffusion vacuum pump. Combining this type of pump with the previous stage pump can meet the requirements of the coating process.
Examples of the application of Busch vacuum technology in the coating process:
- physical vapor deposition (PVD)
- chemical vapor deposition (CVD)
- plasma enhanced deposition
- metal coating
